Edge Builder ("we", "our", "us") operates the Edge Builder mobile application and web application. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

The short version: Your trading data is yours. We don't sell it. We don't share it with third parties for advertising. We collect only what's necessary to make the app work.

1. Data We Collect

When you use Edge Builder, we collect:

Account information: Email address and username (required to create an account)
Trading data: Trade logs you enter, including result (R-value), emotion, rule break status, strategy name, and any notes you add
Profile settings: Market type, timezone, and strategy configuration
Photos (optional): If you choose to attach trade screenshots, we request camera or photo library access. These images are stored with your trade data.
Subscription status: Purchase and subscription information processed through Apple's App Store (iOS) or our payment provider

2. How We Store Your Data

Cloud storage: Your account and trading data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database platform built on PostgreSQL. Data is protected with row-level security — only you can access your data.
Local storage: Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage (Keychain on iOS).
Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by our cloud infrastructure provider.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

Provide the Edge Builder service (trade logging, analytics, discipline tracking, and verdict reports)
Sync your data across your devices
Manage your account and subscription
Send transactional communications (e.g., password reset emails)

We do not use your trading data for any other purpose. We do not analyze aggregate trading data. We do not build profiles for advertising. We do not train AI models on your data.

4. Third-Party Services

Edge Builder uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — Database hosting and user authentication
RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat may collect device-level identifiers for subscription tracking. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store — Payment processing for in-app purchases on iOS

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or trading data with any third party for advertising, marketing, or data brokering purposes.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
You can export all your data at any time as a CSV file from the app's Settings screen.
You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data (via the app or CSV export)
Correct your data (edit trades and profile settings in-app)
Delete your data (account deletion in Settings)
Port your data (CSV export)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you may have additional rights under GDPR. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children's Privacy

Edge Builder is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Cookies & Tracking

The Edge Builder mobile app does not use cookies or advertising trackers. We do not use any analytics SDKs that collect behavioral data. We do not participate in cross-app tracking.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
